One of my FB Friends said, "It's really not necessary to wish me a Happy Day.
I served because it was the right thing for me to do." I agree with him. It sometimes feels 'not so good' when I hear it. I suppose that I may still be feeling a bit guilty about surviving the Army Experience during the Vietnam Era, 1971-1978 for me. I am glad to be here. I am glad that I served in the Army. I'm not so happy about the men & women that didn't make it home. And those that made it home, but then took themselves out. Welcome home was all I really needed to hear. And a hug would have been nice. Be there for someone else. I can't tell you how much they will appreciate it. -Steve
